Blondie here. Thought I'd try out this blog-thing and see how it works!
I'm also doing a Weight Watcher's thing but I am trying the Core Plan- if you eat stuff that is on the "approved" list, you don't have to figure out your points and track it. In the "non-approved" category (all the fun stuff) you have 35 points per week to use as you wish- low-fat whole wheat toast uses up 1 point, so it's not like you have a lot of room here. Day 3 for me, to0 (10-8 and I did not even coordinate this plan!) and so far so good. I am not weighing in yet- want to wait a week and hopefully give myself a nice surprise (hopefully).

yeah - they were just coming out with the "core plan" when I signed up for weight watchers the first time (and actually paid for their program -- oh well, you gotta get their tools/material). I was affraid is was a little too flexible for me - I need dicipline (I'm not an in between kinda girl, I guess). Be interesting to see how you like it.

Welcome to the fray. Getting started is tough. I'm sitting in a holding pattern this week. Ready to break out.
I think that we all like to eat and that is the BIG problem. We use words like not eating the "fun stuff" and I enjoy "healthy foods" as much as the other stuff. We are always denying ourselves. And we can't wait to get done so we can go back.
The trick maybe to learn to eat healthy without thinking of it that way. A little behavior modification. Put us in the rat maze, let us find the food and ring the bell until we forget why we are doing it.
